How did the Black Rifle Coffee Company miss on their statement on Kyle Rittenhouse?

In response to the not guilty Kyle Rittenhouse verdict (happy for the kid, he was clearly acting in self-defense each time he fired), the Black Rifle Covfefe Company (BRCC) took shots on this board over their previously-published statement on Kyle Rittenhouse.
In looking at the company's statements, I'm trying to find where they went wrong. Was there more action than the below statement and the published video from the CEO? I don't drink coffee (if I wanted to take a shite I'd take a laxative) and don't give a rip about this company, but I am interested in understanding what they did wrong and what they should have done differently in order to appease the folks who were offended by the company's statements.
I am off-put anytime a company advertises their political leanings or capitalizes on hot-button topics, so seeing the BRCC steer clear of this issue was refreshing.
Surely there is more to this story, because it seems BRCC did the correct thing here.

As a veteran-owned and operated coffee company, Black Rifle Coffee Company exists to serve premium coffee while supporting the veteran Community. At the core of Black Rifle Coffee’s values is to support and bring awareness to the millions of veterans who have proudly served our nation and we will not waver from that mission.
The Black Rifle brand is a symbol of service, of strength, and of goodness that has carried over from our military origins. It’s why we support active duty service members and veterans, prioritize veteran hiring, and advocate for individual liberty and personal responsibility.
We do not support legal advocacy efforts. We do not sponsor nor do we have a relationship with the 17-year-old facing charges in Kenosha, WI.
We believe in the integrity of the legal justice system, and support law enforcement officials.
We’re grateful for the continued support of the Black Rifle Coffee community and eager to continue serving those who serve.

Evan Hafer, the CEO, decided to throw his customer base under the bus:
Then on the "Drinkin' Bros Podcast" Dan Halloway decides he's going to dox Alex Jones. However they didn't mind pushing BRCC on Jones' show prior to all this.
Why? Because they have an IPO going on and Sterling Partners owns a large interest in the company already. Oh, Stirling gives a lot of money to dems. So does Evan Hafer despite him backtracking on Dana Loech's show saying it was a bet. Sure dude, whatever.
I don't give a shite what they do for vets. Wounded Warrior project says the same thing and we all know they're another grift. You want to support the troops? Easy, give to charities that actually work for vets like Fisher House, not a money laundering operation like the blue falcons that run BRCC.
The whole bro vet shite is getting old. Besides, Blue Falcon Grifter Company sells a bag of coffee for $15. It's really not all that special having tried it and there are other veteran owned business. They're a bunch of idiots that act like pre-pubescent boys despite them being former officers and NCOs.

Maybe there’s another database because according to this, the majority of his donations have been to (R)’s.

You conveniently left out the donation he sent to Tulsi Gabbard's PAC, Tulsi Aloha. It's a way to funnel money to lesser known democrats.
When this was pointed out, Hafer claimed on Loesch's show it was photoshopped. Then he backtracks with the whole "uh, I lost a bet". The guy is full of shite and has his sycophants already playing damage control.
Donut Operator, a guy who collabs with them, decided after the Rittenhouse verdict to do a stream. What was the first thing he does? Gets Evan on the phone and Evan does his "hurr they're idiots" schtick. Yeah, that wasn't staged. Hafer can't even put out a statement himself. I wonder if Hafer thinks Donut is a racist for defending Rittenhouse.
For a badass that was SF and a "CIA Contractor" who had "47 DEPLOYMENTS" he sure is a little bitch. Oh yeah, that line went well when Hafer paid Reddit to do an AMA. For someone who claims to be a "quiet professional" he sure doesn't act like one.

You posted this & then ask what they did?
I can’t help you.

I’m just curious, why the frick does every swinging dick have to make a “statement” about something. Wouldn’t it be better if any business would just keep their trap shut for anything close to political?

Donut sold out a long time ago and why I use him as an example. They're in full damage control mode.

Yes, there certainly is more to the story and part of that is you repeatedly peddle in half-truths to push your political agenda: a 3 second internet search would easily reveal that the CEO made additional comments that went further than the statement above.

Yeah, but he's like the in Larry Elder class of minorities.

Amen.
The problem is, many weak-kneed/weak-willed CEOs have accepted the bullshite "silence is violence" shtick.

Proud Boys have been portrayed in the same kind of false light as Kyle.

This is one of the biggest weaknesses and flaws of Progressives who make it their mission to cunningly infiltrate non-Progressive entities like they’re in some cold-war spy campaign.
They are so mind-fricked brainwashed, loony, and consumed with emotionally charged beliefs, ideals, lust for moral superiority, and blind narcissism, that they just can’t help but let the hidden quiet parts slip out all the time.
They have no idea they’re even doing it because virtue signaling is no different than breathing for them, and they’re too blinded by ego and conviction to realize non-Lefties don’t do this flavor of the “shame-game”.
Wildly hypocritical projections and absurd intolerance while claiming the morally superior opposite, and all on the back of nasty pejoratives, false narratives, and outright slanderous lies, that they ALL fricking parrot like mindless programmed lemmings.
They’re dead giveaways. And thank god for it. Unfortunately, the GOP and much of Republican Congress, and quite a few Republican state officials/reps are of this ilk. And this is who frauds like BRCC donate too. Comrades in arms.
