6 handicap is very good and I doubt anyone at their age has a 6 handicap unless they are playing easy course or the women’s tees.

There was an article in Golf Digest about 20 years ago.
The editors allowed the writer (at a golf magazine- so we can assume said writer knew a little something about the sport) to take any lesson, any clinic, any thing for like a year to get his game into the single digit handicaps.
I will never forget the final line…
