I listened to yesterday's Smartless Podcast so you dont have to

If you don't know, Smartless is a pod that came out over COVID and features Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett. It started as a fun hour-long interview with random celebrities asking fun questions, but they've slowly started getting political. It's in the top 5-8 most listened to pod in the US.
They've had Hillary, AOC, Maddow, Biden, and yesterday they dropped a pod where they got to interview Biden, Obama, and Clinton. Not once have they had even a centrist on.
It sat in my inbox for hours but i just couldn't take it, so I gave it a listen.
I like to listen to how the other side thinks and how they try to rationalize things. But wow, I don't think I can watch Jason Bateman after this one.
He spent most of the interview turning everything to Trump saying how America must do everything in its power to not elect this mad man.
A few Cliffs- Can't make this up, this was really said. Just crazy how the other half think.
- All 3 said Biden is such an inspiration and they can't thank him enough for what he's done for this country
- They all said what he's done controlling inflation has been remarkable and no other President could have done that.
- Kept thanking him for adding the most jobs of any President
- Bateman kept coming back to its dumbfounding to him how anyone can watch news other than MSNBC knowing they're being lied to. Biden said MSNBC is the only network that just tells the truth and doesn't give opinion.
- Biden says everywhere he goes every foreign power begs him that the world cannot take another Trump presidency and they world will end if he's elected.
I went from laughing to angry as you could tell how much they hate Trump and its supporters. Bateman even said there is no way that many people voted for Trump, and he doesn't believe the numbers.
Honestly it sounded desperate and unprofessional. They said Biden invited them to interview them so he's obviously feeling the heat.
FYI, Obama was leaps and bounds the best interviewer and always brought the conversation back to the middle and even praised Bush for his humanitarian effort and said the country needs to meet in the middle and work together vs fighting. He said even the left has done many things wrong. He was by far the least accusatory on Trump and didn't participate in the dog pile.

Jason Bateman, and I swear this isn’t sour grapes, comes off as surprisingly low IQ.
I’m a fan of all 3. And while goofy, the other 2 guys seem thoughtful and sometimes have something profound to say.

I listened one time and they had Micheal Moore on.
They spent 30 minutes talking about how they have just as many guns per capita in Canada as in America but Canada has very low gun violence.
They discussed this for 30 minutes and could not come up with the answer.

This sounds exactly like the Pod Save America bros. It’s scary how many “cool” upper middle class young white professionals think this way. It’s kind of the new NPR for under 40’s. 538 fits this mold as well as some of The Ringer’s stuff. Shitlib central.

It could have been theoretical to me but I love the America I grew up believing in too much to have refrained from the red pill and took it thanks to Trump and some blue collar Wisconsin baws I befriended in 2024 / 15
Plus the vaccine would have been a mandatory no go zone for me even if I had stayed liberal / team Obama up until 2021.

Bill Simmons and Jimmy Kimmel both went super woke at exactly the same time. Their former friend Adam Carolla stayed sane and they don't really hang out with him anymore. One time Bill made a crack about how Adam was probably "killing animals with Don Jr.".
