This is on the same lines as that documentary on Netflix The great Hack.

Hey look if people are dumb enough to be swayed by the internet that's part of the process. Unless we start legislating for "stupid" in this country it's what we have to deal with.

The fact we only have two major parties just show how stupid the system in this country is regardless.

The Kardashian worshippers are very susceptible to influence imho. In short, I feel that this group is tantamount to the redneck racists who were easily manipulated because Obama had a tan. The difference is that the group being manipulated by the tech world is MUCH larger. Just my .02.

Did you just make the assumption that most voters do their due diligence when it comes to choosing a candidate to vote for? Because that’s funny.

In this thread, y’all will act just like them. That’s because y’all are the exact same as them.

If Google loads up the First Page with only one side, it's only the smartest of the researchers who'll get it, and look further. Most will just assume a consensus and stop.

I find this extremely unplausible. I wouldn't consider anybody on the Poliboard "the smartest of researchers" yet the entire board is littered with information and links that are counter narrative. This argument is similar to the Fox News shaming crowd where they believe you are retarded if you watch their content. It's an elitist argument that everybody is too stupid to use a search engine. Also, most people understand that the results skew left so wouldn't that consciousness of Google's behavior minimize the effectiveness of their tactics?

This is my point. The low information voters vote based on personality, looks and if they'd have a beer with their candidate. How many of these people are googling about platform differences? Their perceptions are molded by coverage of the candidates for a low info voter, so it's not Google that is influencing anything with their algos, it the media coverage.

Try googling the Donald subreddit.
