Probably depends on which border you are jumping.

I like the term "foreign invader" myself.

Yes, if the border in question is Mexico's northern border. If is their SOUTHERN border we call them the "Guatemalen guys who got shot trying to cross into Mexico".

Depends on who's making the statement. Racism isn't determined by content but rather by originator.

I ask because border jumper has EXACTLY the same meaning as wetback(especially within the context I used it), yet the thread got anchored because some pussies thought it was racist.

border jumper refers to someone who jumps a border
wetback is a term that refers to mexicans.
not EXACTLY the same thing is it?

What if you called your new Mexican coworker a border jumper and he had actually jumped the border?

It would be bigoted to refer to Mexican-Americans (or Hispanics) in general as "border jumpers". If you are referring to illegal immigrants as "border jumpers" then it wouldn't be bigoted.
I would imagine that anyone who would use such a term would probably be bigoted, but the phrase isn't inherently such.

Here's a boarder jumper from back in the day...
Wish I could find that classic pic of the E. German soldier jumping across with his rifle.

No. If you speak/read English and discern context, you could easily see that.

If you were referring to people who were jumping the boarder as "boarder jumpers," I fail to see how that would be racist.
Bingo.

So calling a known illegal alien who crossed the southern border, regardless of nationality, a wetback is racist? What if it's a guy who's back is literally still wet from swimming across the Rio Grande a minute ago?

quote:Must you play dumb? Did you read the post where the racial slur was made? He was of course referring to a Mexican when he made the racist comment. We all know that the racial slur, wetback, refers to Mexicans. SO quit acting stupid!!

Obviously you didn't read shite, you frickwad. The article posted, nor tv reports from what I can remember, listed his national/ethnic origin. I know nothing about him, other than the fact that he's a repeated border jumper. He could be from fricking Brazil for all I know. He's a fricking wetback no matter where he's from.

Is the entire land mass to the south of the United States called Mexico, you geographically challenged dumbass?

If they're called 'wetbacks' without reference to their legal status in the US, then yes.
If referring to a Mexican who is here illegally, then no. Is your skull made of the shite they use for the 'black box' in airplanes? Is it that fricking hard to crack through?
