My father in law had a run in with this business.

Not sure what the odds of a moron becoming wed to the daughter of a dolt are but congrats, you beat them.
Google PGR and all will be revealed.

Not sure if it is Soros owned, but as the name implies they are big supporters of the leftist cause.

The son of the founder, CEO for 35 years, that grew the company into the 3rd largest auto insurer gave millions to legalize marijuana. So, don't smoke weed, or you too may become a billionaire.

Truth. I switched from Progressive to Geico and from Progreeso to Ragu. I am not going to support these radicals with my dollars.

Yes. I have all of my insurance with Progressive. I get a significant discount. Soros likes to keeps his shills happy.

No Soros connection that I could find...unless he owns a bunch of stock.
Founded in the 30's by 2 lawyers. Became publicly traded in the 70's. And they only had 3 different CEO's from the founding of the company until 2000 (the 2 co-founders and the son of one of the co-founders). They've had 2 more CEO's since, but didn't see anything about them that says anything about strong political leanings.

This is the conclusion I came to as well.
Soros got rich as a hedge fund manager. Progressive was around before he even came to America.

If it is a Soros affiliated business or merely run by people who agree about 98% of the time with his bullshite does that make any difference?
You can damn well bet even if they are "liberal" they don't run their business that way, other than mouthing platitudes that cost them no money.
They probably do waste time on sensitivity training and affirmative action and other bullshite but that is more a cost of doing business now.

Youre confusing Peter Lewis with George Soros
Hes been dead a couple years now, so who knows. But there is justice in this world
quote:
Mr. Lewis contributed millions of dollars to Democratic campaigns, but he grew frustrated after John Kerry lost his presidential bid in 2004. He had given more than $20 million to Democratic-oriented groups that year.
After that, he turned his attention to financing groups that would set up a permanent infrastructure for Democrats, including the Center for American Progress and Media Matters for America.
He gave away almost half of his $1 billion fortune to various causes, including the Center for American Progress and the American Civil Liberties Union.

he had part of a leg amputated in 1998.
