It took a 15-year study to tell us that "gender confused children grow out of it"

Most gender-confused children grow out of it, landmark 15-year study concludes - as critics say it shows being trans is usually just a phase for kids
There are a lot of thoughts on this. Here are a few I have long said and are fairly obvious
Puberty can be confusing
Being Trans is pushed onto many kids by the adults around them including attention-starved parents. It is also being pushed by the medical industry for profit
Tomboys and sissy boys have existed forever. That doesn't mean they need to have a sex change. They will grow out of it and adjust into their biological nature
Social media leads to a higher proportion of body dysmorphia which is a huge part of the confusion for many kids
If you are still trans as an adult, you have a mental illness, and changing your sex surgically will not solve your issues which is why suicide is so high in this group
As new as this is to do to kids, expect a lot of trans regret and I imagine there will be cases of murder-suicides where kids kill the parents who forced them into transitioning

The majority of gender-confused children grow out of that feeling by the time they are fully grown adults, according to a long-term study.
Researchers in the Netherlands tracked more than 2,700 children from age 11 to their mid-twenties, asking them every three years of feelings about their gender.
Results showed at the start of the research, around one-in-10 children (11 percent) expressed 'gender non-contentedness' to varying degrees.
But by age 25, just one-in-25 (4 percent) said they 'often' or 'sometimes' were discontent with their gender.
The researchers concluded: 'The results of the current study might help adolescents to realize that it is normal to have some doubts about one’s identity and one’s gender identity during this age period and that this is also relatively common.'
It comes amid a massive boom in transgender children receiving drugs to change their gender in the US - as critics say doctors and parents are not challenging young people enough.
Patrick Brown, a fellow at the conservative Ethics and Public Policy Center who was not involved in the research, told DailyMail.com: 'This study provides even more reason to be skeptical towards aggressive steps to facilitate gender transition in childhood and adolescence.
'The fact that rates of satisfaction are lower even just a few years later suggests that for the vast majority of people, prudence and caution, rather than a rush towards permanent surgeries or hormone therapies, will be the best approach for teenagers struggling to make sense of the world and their place in it.
'As such, policies that prohibit gender transition for minors make a great deal of sense.'
The study is one of the longest into the issue of gender in children - but the researchers point out it has some limitations.
For one, it looked at a mixture of children from the general population and kids who were receiving mental health care - though not specifically for anything related to their gender.
Therefore it does not necessarily reflect the attitudes of children clinically diagnosed with gender dysphoria.
The researchers, from the University of Groningen, analyzed the data of 2,770 people who were part of the Tracking Adolescent's Individual Lives Survey.
Participants were asked to respond to the statement 'I wish to be of the opposite sex' at six different points over 15 years.
They were given a multiple choice: 0-Not True, 1-Somewhat or Sometimes True, and 2-Very True or Often True.
The same prompt was given every two or three years from the start of the study in March 2001 until the end.

Every mutilated kid needs to sue their doctors and parents.

I have never understood why people think transitioning kids is ok. If a kid came to the parent and said "I believe I am a pirate and want to live my life as a pirate", the parent would not take them out to the tool shed and
1) cut off a hand to install a hook
2) cut off a lower leg and install a peg
3) gouge out an eye.
Because the parents know the kids will grow out of it.
Yet parents seem to be more than willing to mutilate their kids genitals.

Except we've already known this. We also already knew that reassignment doesnt lessen suicide risks, and may even increase it. Another recent study confirmed that (yet again).
Understand that the left knows this and doesnt GAF. They would gladly see mentally ill children mutilate and kill themselves if it means they get another social wedge issue to bludgeon their political foes with.

Wait- so you’re saying that “my truth” , which is subjective in nature, is not necessarily “the truth” - which is objective in nature? Hmmm… if only there were some Book, with a set of timeless teachings on how to live a truly meaningful and fulfilling life.

I guess the science is settled on this issue. Transitioning children is against all science and should be banned.

Only groomers need to be told this shite

The flower girl in my wedding many moons ago had gender dysphoria. She would plainly say she wanted to be a man for several years, from age 4-8.
She is happily a woman with a husband and children now.
It’s fricking rocket science.

I agree with all of that.

I know this study wasn't done in the States but I have a feeling it would be true here.,.. But makes sense that gender confusion subsides about the same time that govt education and peer pressure have very little influence
