Funny how he's telling christians how to be christians when he doesn't profess being a christian. He might need a little of rule 9: "Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you don't."
Also:
Rule 7 "Set your house in perfect order before you criticize the world."
Peterson is a mess right now.

Agreed. But I don't disagree with Peterson's point. He stated this phrase can be used by "bad actors, hypothetically, on on the Right".
We see this all the time.
Remember Westboro Baptist Church. protesting funerals of fallen soldiers, or even a few Evangelists (and many real, White Supremacists) who invoke God like a liberal uses race or wokness.

The Daily Wire is just an ideological black hole that turns notable conservatives into Israel-sucking, literal crybabies.

I read this as J. Peterman.

I think the people criticizing Peterson's argument are missing what his argument actually is.
He is not denigrating the use of "Christ is King" as a dog whistle for psychopathic behavior. He's trying to bring attention to the lack of critical thought in online spheres where users lack the literacy skills to interrogate and oppose messages corrupted by psychopathic behaviors. These messages propagate because other psychopaths adopt them and their vulnerable followers accept them.
Andrew Tate is a great example. On March 25th, 2024, he posted on X: "Christ is King. And I pray Christianity regains its strength and protects its societies against the pervasive and constant erosion of morality."
Tate is also on record as being an admitted womanizer who believes men should physically and sexually dominate the opposite sex. There is nothing in Tate's message or persona that reflects Christ, and yet, here he is using "Christ is King" as a personal message to his followers.
Considering Tate is machismo and gravitas personified, it's not surprising for him to go with phrases like "Christ is King." King is a symbol of power rather than the empathy and forgiveness that Christ brings into the world.
So yes, Christ as God is king where his message rules supreme. But that message is far from "king as humanistic dominator of those beneath me."
That's what Peterson wants to call attention to.

The use of God’s name in this manner is just another sign of the times we live in. Paul’s warning to Timothy about the “men of the last days” included a description of those that would have a “form of godliness, but denying the power thereof” and then he gives the instruction, “from such, turn away.”
I have no interest in listening to people that would embrace a form, while denying the real truth and power of the Gospel. That goes for the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons, and also for these antisemitic clowns.

I didn't get that from the clip. People look for things to get angry about and others read a headline and take it at face vslue.

I'm not sure he ever was. Listening to him try to defend his views on morality was like listening to some freshman in their Philosophy 101 class, and that was decades ago.

An amusing aside. These folks showed up in Brandon/Flowood, MS when we lived there to protest the funeral of a fallen Brandon Marine. When they got up early to move out, all of their vehicles were blocked in at their hotel by large locked pickup trucks.
The police were called and they got right on it, working hard to locate the trucks’ owners to get keys and to get the trucks moved.
Many hours later, after the Marine Sergeant was interred with honors, the situation at the hotel was finally resolved. The owners of the trucks were warned by police and the Westboro folks were free to leave.
