Karmelo didn’t have a single character witness other than his mom…

I read of Reddit that Karmelo didn’t have any character witnesses outside his mama.
I find that to be pretty damning.
With not much to work with you’d have thought the defense would have put numerous teachers and coaches on the stand to sing his praises. I guess they couldn’t find anyone. Tells you all you need.

I heard his mom, who looked to be about 10 years older than him, ranting about how they moved their baby out to the white part of the state so they could give him a better life. Does anybody know what hood he grew up in?

His character witnesses were the black people outside taunting the Metcalf family as they left the courthouse with jeers of “we’re glad Austin’s dead.”

From Baton Rouge and they moved to the Allen/McKinney area about 3-4 years ago, per testimony.

Yea that’s sad. Gives you insight to how terrible his first 17 years probably were.
He made a terrible mistake and then ran away crying. When he was arrested he was sobbing and admitted to his crime.
