Apparently, once convicted of a crime, they no longer allow fundraising.

The Anthony family will need to find a new grift to fund their lifestyle.

This comment has nothing to do with Karmelo, but just a general comment about fundraising websites: I don't think they should get into the moral discussion of what is a valid fundraiser and what is not. If people want to raise money for a new satanic church or to pay for a death row inmate's commissary, idiots should be free to waste their money.

Beyond fraud prevention, they should take any all money.

They’re a private business, they’re not a charity.[

They are certainly free to make their own rules. I never insinuated otherwise. I just said what I think they "should" do. When you become the morality police, it's hard to draw the correct lines and not become a hypocrite.

frick those sites. They shut down Daniel Penny's defense fund but let Karmelo the Murderer's Mom collect $600K. That's a true example of racist.

a lot o states have laws on the books preventing criminals from making money off their crime.....this would be making money off a crime.....hence shutting down the account now that he has been convicted and sentenced

From AI search:

quote:

Texas law, commonly referred to as a "Son of Sam" law, legally prevents criminals from profiting off the publicity of their crimes by requiring them to forfeit profits derived from their life story, and establishes involuntary trusts to redirect profits from crime memorabilia sales to victims.
