Kavanaugh: “There are all sorts of things parents are able to opt their kids out of - why did you specifically bar them from opting their kids out of reading these books about gay pride/trans/etc?”

Montgomery County Schools Attorney: “Well because too many parents were opting out…”

Never once consider that your curriculum may be the problem, it’s just those pesky parents that won’t comply!

It will take more for me to believe he is earning his keep, but that is a good question in this case.

ETA: Just listened to the question and answer. I ain’t saying that the lawyer for the school system is gay, but his boyfriend probably is.

I’m a very big Trump guy, but his Supreme Court picks the 3 he had, are a very big disappointment . Ted Cruz and Mike Lee should have been nominated . With Thomas and Alito , that’s and automatic 4 for every conservative issue and immigration. He dropped the ball big and it’s going to hurt him in his second term. It already is.

Gorsuch is fine I think. Kavanaugh is a C. Barrett is D minus. He could have done a lot better.

SCOTUS has not made a single merits decision in opposition to the agenda so far this term. Unless you can point to something I’m unaware of?

Too many people here freak out about procedural and preliminary rulings. These things take time to work out.

If this was the 50's, these people would be in hiding, fearing for their lives.

I get that it’s a pause, but why ? These people are here Illegally! Why do they get due process to be deported, when they didn’t worry about “due process” to come here? It’s bullshite period, the majority of this country voted to have these people ousted from our country. Why is the court especially SCTOUS playing into this nonsense ?. Like I said Alito and Thomas are always right in my opinion. Lee and Cruz would have been the same .

So, rather than see how the case before them stacks up to the Constitution, the court should see which way the wind is blowing insofar as the voters are concerned and simply vote that way?

but why

Circuit courts haven’t ruled yet. That’s the process.

That issue isn’t before SCOTUS yet.

Well, maybe, but how do you know that unless there is at least some kind of check and balance, some kind of "due process"?

Do you also support civil forfeiture by cops of cars and cash when cops stop them and say it "exhibits signs of drug trafficking.....so give us that money, no trial, no lawyers, hand it over! Gimme dat cash and car!"

Whenever the issue of civil forfeiture comes up, people always complain about cops having too much power to act like judge and jury and that you should not be able to do these kinds of things without a court. I think these expulsions are similar.

"Unfortunately, this is legal," Institute for Justice attorney Bob Belden told Fox News. "Civil forfeiture is a process in the United States where law enforcement can take property from people who have never been charged with a crime."

For example -

Mmm, yes- arguing that the government should follow the constitution is such a bitch move to someone who loves the president and their party more than their country.

They are ILLEGALS. Gang members violent criminals. They have no rights under the constitution. The constitution was written by Americans for Americans Not assholes who come into this country illegally. The “constitution”also says the government has a duty and obligation to protect (American) citizens from foreign and domestic criminals. Ahhhhhhh it’s ok for the dems to do it (Roosevelt) with the Japanese, but not Trump ? What Roosevelt did was way worst also , he actually shipped out and put American citizens in jail. Open your eyes man! Don’t be a sheep.

Gorsuch trying to nail down why exactly a 3 year old needs to read Pride Puppy and look for the drag queens and leather clad participants

This MoCo attorney is struggling.
