As much as I hate to say it, SOME of the frickery USAID funded is a necessary evil. At times, it does serve American interests to help facilitate changes in foreign leadership, among other things. To pretend otherwise is being naive.
I'm not talking about the obvious ridiculousness we've all read about...

Billy might have been what you say, but Billy's boss fired him and rehired Billy several times. Sometimes the boss needs to show the employee who really is the boss. Sometimes the boss has to recognize that when an organization is out of control the boss needs to hire a pit bull to get the job done. A good example is how Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces General Dwight Eisenhower handled the pitbull General George Patton. Keep your pitbull on a short lease and under control at all times and unlease him when needed to get back control of a situation/government agency/battle.

I said a million times that Marco, Stefanik, Waltz, Hook, and Gorka (and Pete, to some extent) were major concerns as Israel first neocons. I thought Marco did a decent job at first trying to resolve Ukraine, although he may have been going through the motions. Now, he's obsessed with deporting foreign students.

quote:
According to Democrat Sen. Brian Schatz - ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommitte on State and Foreign Operations, said Marocco brought chaos to the agency."
Straight from the DNC/Pravda headquarters memo to his lips.

Yes. USAID is a very useful tool that isn't going away. Like FISA and a federal law enforcement agency that is also a domestic intelligence agency (FBI).
Unfortunately, they can pass all of the reforms they want but those tools will eventually be abused again.
