Because it concerns a very dark subject matter — child sex trafficking— it is at times a very difficult movie to watch.

The graphic nature of the horrific crimes against children are mercifully kept to a minimum but the horror of what you imagine happens off screen will leave you emotionally unsettled.

It is an extremely well made film with taut direction, a lean script and no frills sets that still has fully realized characters that rise above the stereotypes that often inhabit the “based on a true story” crime genre.

Highly recommend.

Don't know why someone would downvote this... these type of stories need to get out so we can stop one of, if not the key moral issue of our time.

It is getting good reviews across the board.

Even “Variety” give the film a very good review — though apropos of nothing inserted a ridiculous disclaimer that though they like the film they don’t believe in Q-Anon conspiracies about Pizza-Gate!

‘Sound of Freedom’ Review: Jim Caviezel Anchors a Solidly Made and Disquieting Thriller About Child Sex Trafficking: It's been sold as a "conservative" thriller, but you don't need that mindset to find it compelling….

The movie was well done and I hope it helps shed light into the shadows where pedophiles and human trafficking exists..

It looks like it will stream after it does it's theater run.

Look for Angel Studios and download it like you would Pluto TV or other streaming places.

Isn’t mel Gibson trying to make a movie exposing the Rothschilds?

I’m not familiar with such a project but I know Gibson has recommended this film: Mel Gibson Releases Emotional Video Promoting ‘Sound of Freedom’ Set To Release On July 4th.

Based on the comments by star Jim Caviezal in an after-credits monologue, “The Sound of Freedom” faced considerable roadblocks to being released because of it’s subject matter. According to Caviezel, it was completely finished and awaiting the announcement of an opening day by 20th Century Fox but Disney’s acquisition of the studio delayed the release.

And Disney sat on it. And sat on it.

Based on the grim subject matter of child sex trafficking, it is certainly no surprise that groomer Disney opposed the release of film. Caviezel said the film’s producer ultimately had to buy the film back from Disney and faced a difficult time securing a major studio distributor.

Christian studio Angel eventually acquired distribution rights and advanced ticket sales have been promising: the screening I attended was more than 3/4 full. I certainly hope this film finds the large audience it deserves.

I’m glad this looks as good as it does, and is getting solid reviews
The multiple threads made on this board about it in recent months did it no favors

At the end of the credits, Caviezel said that Angel Studios so believed in the important message of film, they are offering a “pay it forward” promotion which allows you to send tickets to someone unable to afford a ticket. Contributions also are accepted. A QR Code was provided on the screen. .
