So, yes, you have all of the Nazi symbolism, but that's really just opportunist, and goes back to the fact that Western Ukrainians, who were heavy Polanized during the period of the Commonwealth have a separate identity, and that they attached themselves to the German war effort in WW2 in order to create their own separate state.

According to research done in the 1930s, Nazi Party members number one concern was Bolshevism or Communism. Germany saw a Communist uprising at the end of WW1, and you had fights between right and left wing paramilitaries through this period. Around a million people starved to death in the waning period of the war, and Weimar itself was horrific. Together it was a very unstable period, and the idea of a communist revolution was entirely plausible.

With Jews, the Nazis complained about the concentration of wealth, and consequently power. They said effectively, that Germans had been disposed.

You can argue that the fusion of private money and governance is fascist, but the fascists said that the private sector should serve the public good, and so what we have now really isn’t that, it’s just oligarchy, and oligarchy in the way the Greeks would have understood.

The Nazis used street violence, and so you can make that point, but so did the Bolsheviks and on a much greater scale. They opened the prisons and turned what we would call felons into their shock troops. They let these people rape, murder, and rob ordinary Russians. Which we’ve seen now too, albeit nowhere in the same horrific scale. But that’s why I don’t agree with the comparisons to the Nazis, what we’re watching is just replay of what the Spanish, the Germans, and the Russians experienced in their own ways. The difference here is that the state has been largely captured and there’s very little in the way institutional pushback. This isn’t 1930s Spain, we don’t have Catholic Church, royalists, and the army. It isn’t Russia, we don’t have the Orthodox Church and the aristocracy (which was a martial order like everywhere in Europe).

I should clarify, that when I make the comparison to communism, these people are the children of those movements, but it’s not about a belief in Marxism, and it don’t think it was then either, it was about power.

Mate it was the "Chosen people" in positions of influence and power who played all the cards that led to mass Muslim migration and resetting in Western countries during the Bush and Obama Presidencies (and Blair, Merkel, Macron, Trudeau, etc)
