The CBS Evening News is getting killed in the ratings. I'm sure that has nothing to do with her stepping down.

Not all her fault. Dan Rather replaced Walter Cronkite when CBS News was the king. By end of Rather’s run, CBS was buried in the ratings and surrounded by controversy. They have never recovered.
