Why do I hear this dude had some mixed up chromosomes or something? I need an explanation

Edit: already answered.

I feel bad for her/him. This isn’t a Lia Thomas situation. He/she wouldn’t really fit into either category. But then again, the reason he/she is so good at boxing women is because of the condition.

Still has XY chromosome and heightened levels of testosterone.

What about the other one?

No matter if they were born that way or chose it, this person should not be allowed to punch women in the Olympics.

That’s my issue. Look if they were born this way, that sucks for them. I mean that with sincere sympathy. But, the fact that this person chooses (and is allowed) to fight women, which gives them a clear biological advantage isn’t fair to all the other women that this person fights.

It’s really about what’s best for the most people. Why accommodate one person, who unfortunately has a birth defect that makes them stronger than biological women but weaker than biological men…and let them compete down to the women’s level at the detriment of all the women they compete against? That’s hurting countless women to accommodate one person.

They have a birth defect, and that sucks. But lots of people have birth defects that means they will never be olympians.

Im really looking forward to hearing how bad the #s are for this Olympics. I hope we hear how ad rating #s weren't hit and NBC needs to pay back some money.

If the rumor is correct and this person has Swyer syndrome, they usually have a uterus. But if she really has Swyer syndrome but previously tested high for testosterone, then she was doping.

Right. I assumed that the high levels of testosterone were natural to them.

Yeah I know. It was just out of his/her control. But ultimately, we all know she can’t compete against women. It’s unfair but it’s the way it is. And I say she because she was female at birth. She’s one of the few people I’d be OK with calling her he or she based on whatever she wanted. What a shitty, shitty condition and a bad roll of the dice.

Lia Thomas was an attention whoring idiot trying to cash in on the trend. This person just wanted to compete and had NO control over her balls.

Sad part is being an Olympian is probably the only thing she had going for her. She will never have a normal life. She can’t possibly fit into either category successfully. And a lot of people don’t look into her medical history and assume she’s another attention whoring Lia Thomas type.

This is the sad answer.

But I think the medical condition needs to be widely known and this person shouldn’t be ridiculed like Lia Thomas deserves to be. Lia Thomas deserves to be mocked and ridiculed for the rest of his facade of a life.
