Most of the conservatives I know back the blue when they are in the right and want them prosecuted when they abuse their authority.
I really haven't seen any evidence of this or, I guess I should more to the point say that conservatives on the whole seem to give police EXTREMELY WIDE LATITUDE for what they think is "abuse of authority". Basically, everything short of straight up murder seems kind of OK.

I need to find the video from a couple years ago where there was some protest in a PUBLIC park.

A couple of dudes walked thru the protest asking questions ONLY to those who said they'd take questions. .

Then, some in the park lost their fricking minds. Screaming. Coming close to threatening violence. Etc.

The police show up and...............I shite you not...........arrest the dudes who are being screamed at for "disturbing the peace". Then the dudes said they weren't, the cop actually used the screaming banshees as EVIDENCE that the quiet dudes were "distutbing the peace".

Cop actually said some variation of, "they don't want you here and you're upsetting them so, you're disturbing the peace"

I'm not sure how it's even fricking possible to be that stupid.

Yes, I have seen the videos, and he won his case with ease.

The police do not know the Law.

And why should they? There's basically zero penalty to them for getting it egregiously wrong.

Their whole, "let the courts sort it out" attitude is absolute horseshite.

Just being devil’s advocate. Maybe more coherent responses that challenge someone’s beliefs and opinions could open dialogue

To play devils advocate you would need to present a counterargument. Where is your "coherent response"?

but I guess not. People here don’t seem to like being challenged. Very quick to anger.

And there it is. Instead of a challenge, you are simply pooing on others. You're not being taken seriously because you're not making a serious argument, or ANY argument whatsoever.
