Latin should be integrated into mass for its historical relevance.

I just don’t see the importance of speaking a language that no one on Earth understands. It was replaced like 60 years ago.

Using Latin in mass keeps it universal. It's a universal language that keeps it the same throughout the world. It also allows you to understand the mass no matter what country you are in.

Are you Catholic? Have you had a Latin Mass? My local parish does a great job of mixing in Latin within the Mass and its a beautiful thing

requiescat in pace. What a beautiful Christian man. I can only pray his successor is as noble and holy.

So 18 of the eligible Cardinals don’t get to vote?

Cardinals above 80 years old do not get to vote

"Ancient"

It’s very sad how many Romanist-Papists understand nothing about the true catholic church and the history that has led to the current abject heretical den of apostasy.

When people say “ancient faith,” I have to ask, “how ancient are we going here”? Because the current RCC shares little meaningful doctrine or practice with the first-century Christians. (Or even through Augustine.)

(And yes same is true of most so-called Protestant “churches,” but at least most don’t even pretend otherwise).

The gates of hell has prevailed against “Roman Catholicism.” But never shall against the one true Church.

ETA; papists downvoting instead of defending themselves. It’s almost as though their opaque cult has hindered them from true self-critique and reflection. Maybe go ask a priest to explain it to you in Latin.

I'll always believe that Benedict was forced to resign. Primarily because:

1) They said he was in poor health, but he lived for years after he "resigned."

2) Regardless, don't Popes almost always serve until they drop? Francis was in poor health for years, but there was never any talk of him resigning.

Benedict likely would've croaked around 2015-16 had he not quit.

Key word almost. B16 basically didn't want to be JP2 and wither away as Pope.

The Commie Pope is gone. He’s not going to be missed. One of the worst Popes in history and that’s his only real accomplishment.

The fact that his passing is posted on Political Talk says it all.

Do you see him on fox news? He's not exactly killing it with his boomer takes.

Just because a commie POS wears a robe and pointy hat doesn't mean that he isn't still a commie POS.

Francis I think had a big heart. Not our place to judge, that's Gods job. The church is for all, even people we dont like.

This. Benedict was already 85 when he resigned. His biographer said he suffered from severe insomnia issues for years and that played a big part in his resignation and poor health.

Why did you need to hear this? The Church's position has been crystal clear on the issue of abortion. It's memorialized in the catechism, it's preached weekly in parishes...Francis didn't need to regurgitate a very well know position.
