This is the image you see that links to a Yahoo article

Which was an odd imagine, considering the text says "climb". Then, if you actually read the article:
quote:

Stock market today: Dow gains 1,000 points, S&P 500 and Nasdaq gain over 2.5% on signs of tariff progress

I guess they hope people see a depressing image and "stock market" or DOW" "NASDAQ" and don't read. Just assume more "OMB ruining the economy". This is on purpose.

It's a double lie. They are only pretending to be sympathetic.

We all know that the commies are gleeful to see capitalist in misery.

This type of propaganda from yahoo and msn is pumped out on a daily basis to people all over the world on news feeds, home pages, etc. No wonder the democrats have a baked in 40% voting block.

Eh. Propaganda is a stretch.

The markets have been insane since April 2nd (and not great before that really), even on good days that photo accurately captures how a lot of people are feeling right now (including some right leaning investors). Especially given we’re all still way DOWN YTD and not sure what the rest of the year will look like.

So sure, if you intentionally forget every ounce of obvious context, it’s an odd photo/headline combo. But why would you do that???

So the "YTD" is what should be used to determine stock photo usage regarding the stock market even if the stock market has a great day, week, or month?

It's a deliberately misleading photo. I know it. You know it. And anything with an ounce of critical thinking ability knows it.

That's what I think a lot of people are reasonably doing right now but there's no hard and fast rule obviously. I don't know if you've noticed but there's been a big shift in our leadership/strategy since January and a lot has changed. YTD seems to do a decent job of capturing that.

More goofy projection and out of touch. Despite the great day yesterday most asset holders are not feeling great right now, if you don't know that it just reiterates how out of touch you are.
