Let's be honest with ourselves. The GOP was all about free trade until Trump became GOP.

That said, I don't really think Trump likes tariffs, he's just using the threat of them to force parties to the table.

It's going to come down to Whitmer and Newscum for the nomination, maybe one of them picks SAS as their running mate but probably not. Both Newscum and Whitmer are running massive PR campaigns redefining themselves as "moderates" in another practition of revisionist history.
