I'm not sure what your point is here.
They should have let the girls stay with a warning not to work. They were no threat to anyone in any way.

Doesn't this seem like this was within the officer's discretion?
That's exactly what I'm saying. His use of discretion was unreasonable.

Are you saying that the Trump Administration has implemented some new policy?
Nope. I'm not even implying it. It's the application of the policy that seems to be more draconian these days.
I'm not trying to make some great point here, but the responses to my posts have been prolific. It's as if overreaction is the flavor of the day.
Why is everyone overreacting so much?

Thank God, they protected us from German teenagers. Hawaiians can rest easy tonight. I want to hear Stephen Miller crow about this one.

Who was Djokovic a threat to?

We sure showed those teenage girls, didn't we folks?
You people are fricking pathetic.

ETA: I was pointed to another article buried in this thread with more information. It would indeed help if OPs had actual links, but I will own my reaction and leave it here for ridicule.
Where does it say anything about that?
I’d be willing to bet I’ve done more international travel than 99% of the people here, and I am fairly categorical that you have to have your papers in order to enter any country, and you better mind your manners once you do.
That being said, people like you keep throwing out this “They broke the law” trope without pointing to a single bit of evidence.
Can you debate this like an adult, or is this just blanket sycophancy?

It's been this way for many years.
This isn't something new or Draconian.

Thank God the biden admin banned a tennis player but kept the southern border wide open for ms13 gang members.
Good thing we are more worried about pro athletes spreading covid over illegals spreading measles.

These travelers were denied entry after attempting to enter the U.S. under false pretenses. One used a Visitor visa, the other the Visa Waiver Program," CBP Assistant Commissioner Hilton Beckham said in a statement. "Both claimed they were touring California but later admitted they intended to work – something strictly prohibited under U.S. immigration laws for these visas."
This is incredibly common practice.

You picked out a song and chant for signs at the protest yet?
We must not stand for this very normal procedure.

Because you dare to suggest that the formulation, interpretation, and execution of Trump admin policies is anything less than perfect.
But, remember, it’s only the left that acts with hive mentality.

Not really, I didn't start the thread.
I just thought it was considerate to try to address everyone's responses to my posts. But now, I'm not so sure that's such a good idea.

The bigger story here is that they're white and MAGA supporters aren't upset they were sent packing.
Dems desperate to make this about race and it's not.

You don't know that. Maybe they were just joking when they said they would look for work in CA.
You cannot prove they broke a law.
Why does it matter? They got sent HOME. They are ok. They arent sitting in ad seg in a level 4 at Mule State. Relax
They dont need to come here, its really a non issue.
