What makes it more maddening is that it isn’t true working class folk working at Costco liking these tweets. It’s downwardly-mobile tech workers in Austin, Los Angeles, NY, etc. It’s professors. It’s HR professionals. It’s White collar childless women. It’s people who go to Barnes and Noble and buy the latest inequality screeds written by Thomas Piketty.
Alexis De Tocqueville, when he toured America in the early 19th century, noted that Americans generally didn’t view “the rich” as oppressors the way the peasantry in Europe did. They viewed the rich as an aspiration, a goal for where they also could get to.

Totally ignoring the fact that all that "money" is tied up into stocks. Those same stocks are making money for others. Not too mention the 1000's of high paying jobs and low paying jobs he has created for Americans and elsewhere.
