How many additional employees are needed to review these responses and how much do they make? How efficient is that? Or is AI determining their value?
How is this even a question. Have you never had a direct report? Are you a govt employee?

Perfect. Grab 5 bullet points from there. The 5 minute email just became a 30 second project. How traumatizing.

Not that it matters to my overall point, because the president can take advice from anyone of his choosing, but Stephen Miller does not hold a cabinet position.
He is deputy chief of staff, which does not require senate confirmation.
But he is in a formal position in which there would be accountability for his actions. According to most on here Musk is just an advisor with no authority.

Another talking point: “we already do that”
Great, copy, paste, send.
10 seconds
STFU

You’re an idiot. This is already being sent to our supervisors on a weekly basis.
Perfect. Copy paste and done.

Please tell me why I should send an email to OPM!
Because they have the ability to fire you. Why are you so upset about a copy/paste. Or even a CC on what you send to your supervisor?
Posted on 2/22/25 at 8:48 pm to BBONDS25
It’s a simple question. The manager is asked to be cc’d, not responded to. The manager has been given zero instruction either. It’s comical

-Retired veteran
-DOD/Gov worker
-Trump supporter
-Musk/DOGE supporter
-Think this email is dumb AF
-Thought emailing my supervisor was dumb AF.
All those things can be true.

It's meant to irritate and demoralize,
A 5 minute (at most) weekly project is meant to demoralize? My god. This thread is amazing.

Weekly status reports are common. Managers that do not require weekly status reports are highly highly suspect.
Which is why many departments, maybe most, already have them. This is just pointless redundancy that is part of the continued shock and awe at all costs approach. They didn't even take the time to exclude departments that this does not apply to......just sent the email on a whim on a random Saturday evening.

you should probably try to understand the full story before talking shite.
Installing software on a work computer that’s purpose is to make it appear you’re working when you’re not is one of the most idiotic ideas I have ever heard of. If you can’t figure out why, that’s probably why you’re a government worker upset about this 5 minute project.

So what. There are huge consulting firms that come into companies all across the country and advise certain actions be taken. If the company decides to adopt the recommendations, the employees don’t get to say “nah…I don’t work for the consulting firm”.
Can consultanting companies be held liable? They are paid for their services correct?

Are you having trouble understanding the very simple instructions? That is what is comical.

Musk is an official presidential advisor. He is just as official as any other presidential advisor.
The president can take advice from a retarded homeless person.
I fail to see the relevance of the advisor’s status. It’s a dumb talking point.

I know you fricking retard stop reading once you think of something you think is smart to say
but again this isn’t about a response.
literally everyone can think of 5 things they did a week before even people half assing their jobs.
this is catching people off guard or they would have send it on a fricking work day.

Cc’ing an email you already send is shock and awe? Some of you really need to try out the private sector for a little bit.

Is Monday not a workday? Have they not been saying this was coming for a while. What percentage of government workers do you think aren’t aware of what is happening?

They are whining about having. To add a CC on an email they claim they already send. THAT is idiotic.
The private sector comment is because if they melt down about having to send one email a week, how do you think they would handle daily salesforce updates? People are so fricking entitled.
