This is absolutely enraging. The dogs are hero’s too. How many lives do you think they saved in 20 years of war. They deserved to come home with honor just like our troops. People shouldn’t have to put their asses on the line to do the right thing. It should have been done to begin with. Seems like our vets came together and did the right thing because the damn government wouldn’t. Getting people out and now dogs. The government has been disgraceful through this whole thing and really hurt the country. But if these is a bright spot to this mess it’s the way former vets came together and risked all again to uphold America’s promise of leaving no man behind. They have made me proud to be American when our government brought so much shame and disgrace to our country.

There is a photo of at least a dozen dogs in cages with a bunch of empty water bottles laying around. It shows that somebody had at least enough sense to give them water, but then they dropped everything and left.
One tweet I saw mentioned that the plane which was going to take them out had been canceled. And they were looking for more planes. That was before the airport was completely closed. Haven’t heard the follow up.

How about some common decency? Good grief, these are valued and trained animals who deserve to be brought back with their trainers /handlers . I’m sorry, Americans and their dogs should have left first, then any Afghans.
