Video shows Ohio trooper approaching Deshawn Leeth, who had crashed his vehicle near the state line

Leeth then attacks the trooper and steals his cruiser

He led police on a chase for 11 minutes while talking to himself

The chase ends when he crashed in North Sewickley, Beaver County Pennsylvania State Police used "legal intervention" to stop the pursuit

The Beaver County district attorney is investigating, and involved troopers are on administrative duty

I am trying to figure out why he was not shot earlier. Is the new standard for police to engage in hand to hand combat?

This guy was clearly on drugs and/or mentally ill. It's the only explanation for his behavior in the bodycam footage. That cop showed incredible restraint in trying to use the taser on him and not going directly to lethal force.

The officer put his and more peoples’ life in danger by not pulling his firearm earlier. Cops are afraid of the repercussions and it’s dangerous.

Thank goodness for bodycams these days. Without them, we’d probably be watching another city go up in flames and a shopping mall get looted.

'community leader'

I wonder if that's an elected position. Do you need a degree in 'community leadership?' Is it a higher rank that 'community organizer'? You can become President of the U.S. with that experience.

I doubt that community leader saved many souls with that approach. It's a little aggressive.
