Strange they now don't want to get nuked! Why the sudden opposition to dying in a nuclear explosion?

The United Kingdom is pulling back from a plan to deploy thousands of ground troops to Ukraine, citing high risk and limited military capability for such a mission. Instead, the focus is shifting to air and sea support, as well as military training away from front-line combat zones.

A force of up to 30,000 troops had been discussed for deployment to guard key Ukrainian sites, but that plan is now off the table. “The risks are too high and the forces inadequate for such a task,” said a source familiar with the talks. The source told The Times, “This was always the UK’s thought. It was France who wanted a more muscular approach.”

British and French military trainers are expected to be deployed in western Ukraine, but not near active combat areas. “The trainers ‘reassure’ by being there but aren’t a deterrence or protection force,” the source added.

Aircraft would provide air cover, and Turkey would take on a maritime role under the likely plan. The UK and Europe would continue sending weapons to ensure Ukraine remains armed if Russia violates any future peace deal.

That is hilarious. The rifle dropping Frenchies wanted a muscular approach—as long as it is someone else’s muscle.

Who, other than Zelensky, the liberals, the Democrats, and the American media, is shocked that the Europeans talk the talk, but won’t walk the walk?

Zelensky needs to kiss some serious orange arse for a real assurance of outside protection from the aggression of Russia.

The world is now understanding why it was a grave mistake to put such miniscule amounts of their own economy into defense all along. Trump warned all of these countries in his first term that they needed to increase their defense spending if they wanted the US to continue to have their backs. They all scoffed at him.

UK steps back from plan to send troops to Ukraine, citing high risk: report

High risk??? Of your sending soldiers into a war zone, it's probably considered high risk!
Especially with dictator Zylenski shitting all over any possible peace deal.

Don’t worry.

I’m sure the Brits and Euros will hold another summit where they will declare their unequivocal and unyielding support to Ukraine.

Not surprising. They know they don’t have the capacity or stomach to send troops in to fight Russia. It was a big bluff by the globalist to try and get us to put boots on the ground over there. EU ain’t doing shite and Trump called their bluff. Where are the crybabies on here who said EU was such an important ally for us? Our supposed allies tried to gaslight us.

Starmer is acknowledging the political reality that there's no public support at home for fighting this war. Same for America.
