I was being fuscous. It’s only “a lot more expensive” if the cost of birth and care of said kids isn’t being paid for by the government.

Wrong. Its SS Retirement age - 18 years. So for someone whos full retirement age is 67 it would age 49.

Couldn't you justify the money you spent on his behalf covered things related only to him, such as food, clothes, utilities, insurance, a pro-rata share of the mortgage and hone insurance, shoes, lessons, etc.?
