thought it was a method of hiding mass sums of money by making it clean when it comes out the other side? They wanted this large sum(from hidden large donors) of ActBlue money to be come out the other side as clean donations

I guess in my mind the distinction comes down to intent. Did they create this scheme to take dirty criminal money and make it clean or did they create the scheme to hide massive large sum donations as small sum donations.

But what I know about tax evasion and $5.00 will get you a beej from Kamala Harris.

They dont give it to the people, they donate to actblue.....using their name and the people dont even know their identity has been stolen and used

So, they use the same dead people's Identities they use to vote in the election? You're probably right, it probably is a bunch of people they have stolen identities from.

My understanding of money laundering was that it was a method of taking criminal money that couldn’t be spent without bringing heat on you and making it “clean” so you could spend it on cars, boats and houses.

Now I see where this is an obvious campaign finance violation but I’m not understanding how it’s money laundering.

Please explain like I’m a 5yo.

What if the big donation came from a foreign entity in Sinaloa, Mexico or Juarez? Like a cartel leader...It may already be "cleaned" money but they are cleaning it again by hiding who donated the money because it came from a criminal element. Not sure if that is considered laundering...

Anyway, what if it was a big drug dealer in Chicago or New York that donated it, and they are hiding that?

ActBlue will evaporate and come back under another name. Hope O'Keefe gets whatever comes next also.

I would think if the drug dealer received the money, or a portion of the money, back as cleaned money it would then be money laundering.

Maybe. But there are a lot of rumors it’s mainly a Sweetish billionaire.
