Well reports are that's part of the reason why two weeks ago took place. Donald Trump was consulted with and worked with Mike Johnson and Lindsey Graham on how best to pass a funding bill that they together thought might be "palatable" for those on the conservative and populist side of the aisle. They all miscalculated the resulting outrage, in my unprofessional opinion.

Johnson is our Louisiana rep and he’s the speaker of the house. Any idea positive that is for our state!? It’s huge.
He’s doing a damn good job as speaker too. If you don’t like us giving money to Israel or Ukraine, you might as well be aligned with hezbollah or Russia.
We are incredibly fortunate to have our rep as speaker.
