The indictment is honestly enraging
If she was pissed that ice was arresting the man in court, she could have simply adjourned the hearing and had court law enforcement escort him out to the sidewalk where he could be arrested.
Instead, she snuck him out the back and he nearly got away. A 22 minute foot chase ensued on the violent streets of Milwaukee.
It’s not hyperbole to say that the federal agents forced to chase him could have been hit by a car, tripped, or even attacked themselves.
She put law enforcement officers in danger.
She earned her charges and I hope she gets convicted

It's a problem, but thankfully it's a federal prosecution. The Milwaukee Division of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin includes some Republican suburbs for the jury pool. So, jurors won't be JUST from Milwaukee.

It's much worse than that. Out of respect for her courtroom, the Feds had told Judge Dugan's staff that they would arrest Ruiz AFTER the hearing and in the public hallway, not her courtroom.
Judge Dugan tried to pull a fast one by sending the Feds to the Chief Judge's office. While they were complying with her request---WITHOUT NOTICE to the prosecution or the victims of Ruiz's battery---she canceled Ruiz's hearing and ushered him out of her courtroom through a private exit.
Unless she gets an insane, blue-haired jury, Judge Dugan is cooked. TEXTBOOK obstruction.
