Newsmax is the only "TV news" I can stand to sit through. I can't even watch Fox anymore because it's like listening to people piss on your leg while telling you it's raining.

There is really no "single source" any longer, it's become far more granular in people looking to specific reporters who have proven themselves to be more objective more often. The easiest way to access them is by following them on social media, thus defeating your "don't say Twitter" criteria.

I actually go to the Apple news app often because I at least like to see the headlines and the lies from the other side. Occasionally, I’ll click on an article if it’s preposterous enough, but it’s good to know what your enemy is up to.
Didn’t Sun Tzu say something about that? ;-)

Yes. As good as any. Everyone has an agenda. I just keep moving onward through the fog. Hoping to get things as right as possible.

My answer to this is the same every time. There are pretty much zero actual journalist outfits out there. I'm not sure there ever were any but there aren't any now
The only real purpose any of the outlets serve is that they do tell you generally what people are talking about at any given time. After that it's on you. If CNN tells you that the CDC says XYZ then you need to go look at the data. And if you don't understand the data then take up bingo.
This idea that you can sit on your sofa with your thumb up your arse and just hopefully tune in to some station where they will tell you the right things to think and the right way to view certain information is nonsense
Besides why on Earth do we Farm out that task to journalists anyways? What makes a journalist especially qualified to understand economic data International affairs education or any other issue any better than you?
If it is in fact true that somebody whose primary qualification was a reasonably camera friendly face and decent public speaking is substantially better than you and understanding the issues then like I said. Go play Bingo. You're never going to have a thought of your own

TD of course.
Places like this actually are a great source. If you're on this site you will inevitably bump into all of the things currently being discussed. Yes you will notice that most people have a certain point of view but enough have the other point of view that you're going to see links from those ideas too or at the very least hear what those ideas are. And just like I said in my earlier post. At that point it's on you to follow the bunny trail and go see what you really think about the issue.

I really like “Rising” on The Hill’s YouTube channel. Robby Sloave is a great and fair journalist. Sometimes they have silly, over the top, liberal co-anchors. But mostly it’s a Scottish guy, Nile Standish, who I agree with on some things. It has a cordial, reasonable take on list issues and generally isn’t very partisan.
Glenn Greenwald is great too.

I would argue that anyone who depends on a single source for their straight fact news, whether that be Fox News, MSNBC, Bongino, Maddow, Carlson, Mother Jones, ABC, Trump's tweeter...hasn't learned anything from the past decade.

The Christian Science Monitor is pretty unbiased.
