I thought cities were going to burn with BLM anger tonight? That is what they were screeching outside the courthouse earlier.

Oh wait...this isn't Minnesota or California. This is Texas.

Amazing how riots don't even start when the paid rioters realize that they are in a place when there are consequences for their actions.

RIP Austin. I pray your family and especially your twin brother find peace amidst this evil.

Quick verdict today. Caught the left off guard. Probably take them a day or two to mobilize the troops.

This was a great example of people allowing a tiny group of "influencers" filming a small group of people convince themselves that some large movement was afoot.

Idk, it’s still early in the month. Those TANF/EBT payments are still rolling through. That will probably keep them distracted for a few days.

Hopefully we miss out on riots all together. If people just want to see some riot coverage though try an Irish or British media outlet. Belfast is blowing up.

True. Riot coverage is saturated right now.

I think most reasonable people are about sick of watching these morons on tv rioting over this or that. They riot over race today. Tomorrow it’s ICE. Next week it’s outrage over Israel. The week after that it’s back to race. It’s an old and stale act by now.

Not only that, but i was always curious if (with this case) the threat alone of riots and destruction was the point, hoping to influence the jury like they did in MN. I think the Anthony supporters really did want to make it another big George-Floyd-thing, but it was never even close.

I mean, the media really tried with this Anthony case, to paint him as just an innocent victim of racism and oppression, but i never saw even one person IRL that had heard the story and actually took Anthony's side. He just straight up went looking for trouble and ended up murdering an innocent white boy.

35 years is a long time, but not long enough- and what will it accomplish? He'll be institutionalized and literally no one expects him to parole out and suddenly assimilate into society? It's possible, but odds are he's going to rejoin society and kill again. The recidivism stats just don't favor him.

Throw away the key.

First, I hope there are no riots. Period.

That said, some factors that might be in play are:
- People know Anthony was guilty.
- They know fatigue is real.
- They know in TX, they too will get sent up the river.

I expect that if there are to be riots, they will be organized this weekend in strategic liberal cities.

It’s going to a week or two. Lots of people don’t know they’re supposed to be mad now.

I was surprised they didn’t start up tonight as well, maybe they are waiting till the weekend.

Then again maybe they have enough sense and know you don’t mess with Texas

Yes we fvcking do. Frisco, allen and plano are all over ran by middle eastern immigrants. Plano is letting them build a muslim community. There were a shite ton of botham jean protest (that one actually made some sense). They shut down the trinity river bridges in downtown Dallas over those "no kings" rally's. Oaklawn is covered in rainbow shite 365 days per year, not just pride month. The metroplex as a whole has just as many if not more Mexicans than any other race and I would venture to say hundreds of thousands of them are illegal. Just because mckinney kept that shite in check for one night doesn't mean we won't let it happen.

Only 1 of those would be of interest to the potential rioters

There was nothing controversial about this case. Everyone knows it was murder and the facts are indisputable,
