Whistleblower with NLRB: Doge responsible for potential data leak

Sounds like a potential breach of security after the doge folks were involved.
Sounds pretty plausible access could get messed up as fast as doge is moving.
So their press secretary says it's all BS doge hasn't even been there, Except the Whitehouse disagrees that doge hasn't been in there ....
Sounds like this deserves some investigation to me at least. How bad would it be if a bad actor got into doge with that data access? What kind of background checks and credentials are required for those positions?

Meanwhile, according to the disclosure and records of internal communications, members of the DOGE team asked that their activities not be logged on the system and then appeared to try to cover their tracks behind them, turning off monitoring tools and manually deleting records of their access — evasive behavior that several cybersecurity experts interviewed by NPR compared to what criminal or state-sponsored hackers might do.

The employees grew concerned that the NLRB's confidential data could be exposed, particularly after they started detecting suspicious log-in attempts from an IP address in Russia, according to the disclosure. Eventually, the disclosure continued, the IT department launched a formal review of what it deemed a serious, ongoing security breach or potentially illegal removal of personally identifiable information. The whistleblower believes that the suspicious activity warrants further investigation by agencies with more resources, like the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency or the FBI.

The whistleblower's account is corroborated by internal documentation and was reviewed by 11 technical experts across other government agencies and the private sector. In total, NPR spoke to over 30 sources across the government, the private sector, the labor movement, cybersecurity and law enforcement who spoke to their own concerns about how DOGE and the Trump administration might be handling sensitive data, and the implications for its exposure. Much of the following account comes from the whistleblower's official disclosure and interviews with NPR.
Sounds pretty plausible access could get messed up as fast as doge is moving.

Tim Bearese, the NLRB's acting press secretary, denied that the agency granted DOGE access to its systems and said DOGE had not requested access to the agency's systems. Bearese said the agency conducted an investigation after Berulis raised his concerns but "determined that no breach of agency systems occurred."
So their press secretary says it's all BS doge hasn't even been there, Except the Whitehouse disagrees that doge hasn't been in there ....

After this story published, White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said in a statement, "It is months-old news that President Trump signed an Executive Order to hire DOGE employees at agencies and coordinate data sharing. Their highly-qualified team has been extremely public and transparent in its efforts to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse across the Executive Branch, including the NLRB.
Sounds like this deserves some investigation to me at least. How bad would it be if a bad actor got into doge with that data access? What kind of background checks and credentials are required for those positions?

Take note of how to provide an OP that's got more substance than a tweet. It could do your reputation good

Of course.
CCP has incursions into OPM and a host of other federal databases, but GODDAMN there might be one from DOGE and that's what these shitheel federal judges have been SO concerned with

Almost as great as the sentence you left off about Russian IP addresses accessing data as the big driver of that concern...

I wouldn't trust the NLRB.

Doesn't seem like they're a trustworthy org at all. Especially given how the Whitehouse confirmed they lied about doge involvement there.
