It’s what makes markets so wonderful.
They over react both to the upside and the downside.

Because of any number of uncertainties. Uncertainty equals volatility, and volatility is going to be the new normal for the next couple years in my opinion.
I’m decades from retirement, so I just ignore the ups and downs and follow my long-term strategy. Someone smarter than me pointed out that buying the dips is basically getting high quality assets on sale. That’s how I see it.
If you’re close to retirement, you should already be in a low risk portfolio that’s insulated from equities volatility.
Which is all to say that I’m not concerned.
Obligatory “I’m not a financial advisor or CFP” or whatever they’re called. Just a baw.

Stock traders are very sensitive and highly emotional.

This is such a retarded argument, from a retarded person.
Destroying the economy would destroy those who dislike Trump as well as those who like Trump

More people selling than people buying.

I check my stock prices once a month. Always on the last weekend of the month when the markets are closed. Relax and don't worry about day to day changes.

The Pope is dumping his stocks and that has huge investors like Pelosi nervous

How would that work? In order to have a seller you must have a buyer....

and why is that, cause he won't do what the 224 lb business whiz wants.

I would agree that the organic expansion and contraction of the economy is normal and healthy.
However, none of the substantial drops we’ve seen over the last few months is a natural ebb and flow of the economy. It’s just one guy pushing buttons and turning knobs.
Many Americans literally have everything they’ve ever worked for tied up in the market. Asking people to just trust Trump’s genius can cause anxiety. Especially when the market just keeps dropping day after day.

I should have continued the sentence.
More people selling than people buying until the price is adjusted low enough to have equal number of sellers and buyers.

I heard because Hegseth won't resign. Of course, it could also be any of the other anti-Trump things out there today.
I mean, we know it's OMB's fault. Somehow, right?

Trump said he would "bring back manufacturing to America." We are still the #2 manufacturing country and I don't want to bring back a lot of the other manufacturing...BUT...if you want to make us #1 in manufacturing again, there is no way to do it without making things really ugly for a while. This is going to hurt a lot of small businesses and ruin a lot of retirements.
However, if Trump flies the economic plane into the mountain, AND THEN negotiates new trade deals, allowing manufacturing to stay overseas, then all of this....
....and the damage it caused was for nothing.
