I want to thank you for being such an inspiration for me.

On days when I'm feeling a little down or discouraged, I read one or two of your posts and I just feel so fortunate that I'm not you...

That’s not what I said to do. I’m not a fan of how the trade fiasco has been carried out, but that’s beside the point.

If I have an underlying belief here, it is that the most valuable companies in the world that are producing valuable products and services will have an inherent value. I also think diversification is really important so I started investing in alternative assets as well.

I view the trade war or whatever we’re calling it as just another external that I can’t control. I refuse to worry about things I can’t control.

And I think the wise thing to do is to follow good advice and bet on fundamentals and if the whole thing melts down and we end up being bronze age cave people, I’ve already got a bunch of chickens anyway, lol.

I invest my entire salary every month, and I'm not buying anything until I get a better idea of where the bottom is. I'm not "buying the dip" only to then see the next dip go even lower.

If you would have just bought the dip in February you’d only be down 12%

You’re abandoning dollar cost averaging? So you can try to time the bottom? Yikes.

Short term thinker. You’re one that will realize your losses.

Depends on the stock.

I bought AMD monthly for 2 years. It's only down 43% for me on an annualized basis.

I've bought the same amount of WMT monthly over the same time span. It's up 49% on an annualized basis, even after this "dip".

Why is the stonk market melting down today?

Because Trump is working hard to bring about the collapse of the American economy.
