Apparently Tim Howard is black

Here's the commercial ESPN has been showing to celebrate Black History Month. At 0:23 there's Timmy.
Now, I know his dad is black, but calling Timmy black is a stretch. It seems like if they wanted to get a USMNT representation in this commercial. they would have been better off showing a guy like Jozy or Eddie Pope.
Doesn't matter at all, just did a double take when I saw it.

He's black in the sense that his dad is black, but if you didn't know that, you would think he's white with a tan.

Eh idk about that, I can tell he's black fairly easily w/o knowing what color his parents are.

FWIW, though I knew his dad was black, if you'd have asked me to name black USMNT players, Howard wouldn't have come to mind immediately.

Fun fact, Howard's idol growing up was LSU basketball player Chris Jackson, who also had Tourette's.
