Dunno if you’re aware or not, but we’re in absolute shambles with a quitter manager, a potato owner, and our best player not there playing away against a #1 team playing lights out. This score line isn’t exactly unexpected.

oh I am well aware of the current situation
but there is no reason and no excuse for 5-0

I just gave you 6 reasons. Make no mistake Arsenal is going to go for the 6-0 score line for payback. If this keeps city from winning another dirty title, and gets poch out faster along with some of these idiot players, I don’t give a shite.

All for getting poch and all the players out but wanting arsenal to win the title? Come on man

I don’t want anyone other than Chelsea winning a title

I'm done with Enzo. With Palmer out of the line up there is no one who can run an attack. It's amazing how much better he makes this team.

From horrendous to barely average.

this about sums up chelsea today

Agreed. The team on the pitch yesterday gets relegated.

I read that he isn’t practicing, and having to get injections prior to matches due to a hernia that needs to be operated on after the season is over with.
That seems like a problem.

I’m not sure we would have been on frame.

Then get him off, have the operation, and let the recovery process begin. He hasn't been effective at all. But, even if he were, it isn't like any contribution he could make would change CFC's fate this season. I know it was against Everton, but the middle was much more fluid when he wasn't in the game. If he is hurt then it is a disservice both to the team and the player to have him out there right now.

Was Gallagher available (although I don’t find him to be any more effective in that role)?
Chucka - nope.
Jackson? Who goes up top?
Mads- nope.
Mudryk- nope.
Chelsea, from a roster standpoint, is screwed at this point.
I mean, the injury page is beyond crazy!
If Nkuku comes back, be could play there. But without CP, Enzo’s spot would be a hole, even worse than what we are currently seeing, and that is saying something, because he has played pretty poorly.
I would imagine that Enzo is put out there on the off chance that he plays well (which is more likely than his replacements at this point imho).
Again, I agree that he hasn’t been effective, but I’m not sure who would improve the circumstances.
It really is a shitty situation.
In the end, Chelsea may sneak into Europe.
That would be a minor miracle given the circumstances.

Mauricio Pochettino was without star man Cole Palmer through illness, meaning a front three of Noni Madueke, Nicolas Jackson and Mykhailo Mudryk.
There were also changes in defence where Malo Gusto was unavailable. Academy product Alfie Gilchrist starts in his place at right-back, while Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi return at centre-half.
Chelsea (4-3-3, right to left): Petrovic (GK) — Gilchrist, Disasi, Badiashile, Cucurella — Caicedo, E. Fernandez, Gallagher — Madueke, N. Jackson, Mudryk.
Chelsea subs (9): Bettinelli, Silva, Sterling, Chalobah, Chukwuemeka, Casadei, Deivid, Tauriainen, Dyer.

Enzo went under the knife today.
I guess it will be Gallagher in that spot going forward?
At this point we are missing a ton - everywhere.
I have never seen anything like it.

End this already. Forget Europe, let’s get to the end and reconnoiter. Sell the dead weight to the Saudis if you can. This season has been a complete disaster. A bunch of ill-fitting parts and costly evaluation mistakes. Is Poch a good gaffer? I think so, but has had his hands tied behind his back for most of the season due to our made-of-glass players.

I know its reddit, but this is simply awful defense

It has been a disaster, and the parts that they thought they would have are injured.
Jackson didn’t play in shoes until he was 16, and even then, he wasn’t a forward.
He is RAW. I still say he is the future.
The reality is that he is still learning the game in that position.
Enzo is hamstrung by those poor decisions. Playing for two straight years without a break is tough to overcome. Playing with a hernia could it have been fun.
Nkuku would have made the proper runs, making Enzo more effective. Ditto Broja.
Mudryk is also raw. He can also be a major player in time.
Sterling is fools gold. He is almost always available, and almost always underperforms.
He was a terrible signing.
Reece being out is major blow.
We have four guys out in the defense, and they are ALL better than what we currently have.
Sanchez in goal was a poor signing as well.
Lastly, we have some positives to look forward to down the road. Big salaries are going to eventually fall off of the books (Lukaku, Kepa, and Sterling), and we have some world class youngsters coming in (Paez - who will start as an 18 year old).
It is Poch’s first year, a massive amount of injuries, and a VERY young team equals frustrated fans.
Given those circumstances, Chelsea making Europe will be a minor miracle.
Just my .02.
