I have had my gmail account for a very long time and it has finally been over run. Looking for a free option(bc I'm cheap) for email cleanup/unsubscribe apps.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know which web browser you use, but the chrome extension store has different extensions that can do what you want.

You could always create your own filter, but the extensions make it pretty easy.

Note: I haven't used that extension, but it would do what you want.

not about extensions to delete spam, but just to share my email strategy. I have 5 email addresses.

1 is my tigerdroppings name @ gmail for when i need to give an email address. Never check it unless I'm expecting something there.

2 are "super spam" accounts. Given when I absolutely dont care about who/where I'm giving it out being able to get in touch with me and will definitely spam me. Think like registering for websites that I might only use once and need to be able to confirm my email, or anything kinda shady, etc. Probably don't need 2 but that's just what i ended up with. I never check this except the receive the thing i gave this email out for.

1 is my alternate account that is for more important stuff, but I know that who/where i give this email they are still going to spam me at least a little bit. I use this for things like online orders, website accounts that I will use regularly, etc. I check this daily.

The last one is my primary account. Given out to friends/family/bank/bills/job/etc. Gotta be super important or legit to get this one.

This has worked out with me pretty well over the years with my primary receiving almost no spam, my alt account receiving a moderrate amount from giving it to online shops, but Gmail does a good job of filtering those out into Promotions or whatever and then my spam account holding the vast majority of my spam. It sounds complicated, but its not. You get the hang of when to give out which address.
