It is conference / trade show season and I want to give this a shot. Don't care if it's free or paid, just looking for one that does the best job and allows me to summarize a meeting and search for terms later.

We use fireflies

Gives a nice summary of discussion topics, tasks, etc.

I have noticed that a lot on teams calls, just got done with one using it.

I'll check out the app. Will check it out. Wonder if I might need to put it on an ipad so I don't have to have my phone dedicated to it during meetings?

Teams Premium give you a transcript, recap notes and next steps at the end of each recorded call. It also makes the call searchable by topic, chapter or person speaking, so you can quickly go back to a point in the meeting and listen to the call. It also does this if you are just an invitee on a recorded call even if you do not attend the meeting. Getting that end of meeting recap for calls I cant attend has been helpful to me for keeping up with what my team is working on.

Teams Premium

I'm looking for something to take to panel discussions, conferences, etc, so it would be in-person. I find myself taking notes and photos of the screen so I can recall all the stuff being discussed. Some of these things are week-long and can blend together.

Not every event releases the recording or even the decks they present, for some reason.

Yeah we've connected a device (laptop/phone) with one of the Teams speakers that takes our notes in the conference room. Works as expected.

Most people aren’t annoyed by it. Our company is testing copilot for notes. I appreciate being able to cite something instead of assuming it was said, etc.

Copilot via Teams is the best I’ve used. Copilot is also decent in one note.

Not at all, just a teams call stenographer. Good at sifting through the small talk too.
