I need a new laptop just to check email and run MS office stuff. No gaming, video editing etc, just would like it to be turnkey with windows. Any deals I should be on the lookout for?

Give some thought to your form factor preferences. Is this going to be a desk queen, so you want a big screen and don’t care about the weight? Is this going into a briefcase every day, so size and weight are concerns?

Weight isn’t a concern, it’ll sit on a desk likely hooked up to a TV (so display isn’t really a big consideration either), then maybe go on a trip a couple times a year so staying with a laptop over a small desktop. Really just looking for somewhat current hardware for light use without getting hosed or buying a POS. Amazon seems all over the place for similarly spec’d machines, or at least the ones I know to look at like SSD capacity, RAM, and processor speed/cores.
