Apple TV won’t connect to Ethernet

Need a little help here. I had a Netgear AC1750 router. The WiFi strength was never great on it, couldn’t go in my garage and get a signal. So I decided to up grade to a AmpliFi Alien and was going to mesh a second router if I had to to get WiFi where I needed it. So with my old router I had my Apple TV hard wired and it work fine. With the new router nothing loads and it says to check your internet connection. When I go into the settings on the Apple TV it shows connected via Ethernet. But Hulu does load and none of the other apps either. I can connect to WiFi and it works fine.
My equipment is Cox cable internet, Arris SB8200 modem, AmpliFi Alien router and a TP-Link TL-SG116E switch. It all works fine with the Netgear router except for the shitty WiFi signal.
I rebooted everything when changing the routers even went as far as resetting the Apple TV.

Did you copy the same network config to the new router?
You said "

Have you tried connecting different device to the network cable that's for the AppleTV? Have you tried switching out the cable? Do the ports on new device have any settings that need to be changed?

Do these 2 first then re-evaluate.

Now I'm no IT guy and I know enough to F shite up.
I did not. Not sure how to do this.
The Apple TV shows connected to ethernet but none of the apps will work. For instance Hulu says there is no internet connection.
The only thing I have hardwired is my Apple TV and well the switch to the router. I have the Apple TV set to auto config the network setting and it's all the same IP, Sub Mask, Router, DNS and eithernet address no matter if I'm on WiFi or pluged into the ethernet. I do get a different is the IP, Router and DNS when I plug the different routers in. The netgear I get 192.168.1.3 and on the Amplifi it's 192.168.144.1 (not exactly sure on the last number) as IP addresses.
Like I said I'm no IT guy and I've always just plugged things in and they worked.
I've only switched out the cable from the modem to the router. I've swapped the routers back and forth several times and every time the Apple TV will connect and work fine being plugged into the ethernet with my old Netgear router. So it has to be something with the AmpliFi router.

you need to go into your new router and set the IP address as 192.168.1.X (x most likely being 1), and then create the same wireless SSID(s) in the new router with the same password as the old one.
and what does your topology look like? Ex: Modem > Router > devices?

I was thinking about doing this but wanted confirmation from someone that this was the right thing to do.

Well we only have two iphones, two ipads and one apple TV at the moment so I deleted the old Wifi network from these devices and connected them to the new SSID and password.

Arris SB8200 modem > AmpliFi Alien router or (Netgear AC1750 router) > TP-Link TL-SG116E switch > to 12 drops through out the house, patio and shop. I'm only using one hardwired connection for the Apple TV at the moment evething else is connected to the new WiFi network.

yep, this is first step

hell yeah, easy enough...moving on

so after you have first step done, then reboot the switch so it can get IP then reboot AppleTV and "should" be in business...now, once you update the new router with IP settings to match previous, this step really shouldn't matter but won't hurt anything
