Just get a cheap non Chinese brand if it's an outside TV.

This. And get one with a built in Roku/Chromecast to make streaming sports and media easier

Edit: I read get a cheap Chinese brand, which is what you SHOULD do.

Lol, I did too. Definitely get a cheap Chinese brand. I have a TCL and it works great. ROKU built in so no additional wires or boxes, just one power cord.

Chinese- TCL and Hisense
Korean- Samsung and LG
Japanese- Sony

Chinese ones are cheapest and thus probably best for outside . Just make sure you get something with decent brightness. I currently have a 4 series TCL w/ Roku outside and it works well for it's purpose and pricepoint

I've had a 65" TCL series 4 on my patio for two years - never a problem with it.

Grab an android TCL, unlike most TV operating systems android actually gets updated in a reasonable timeline when new apps are available. I put a roku on our vizio because too many apps were not available that we wanted to use instead of casting to the TV. I WANTED an LG but we settled for a TCL due to availability as stop gap but I am not replacing it, its good enough.

I prefer the Android UI over Roku or Fire TV.

Couple years ago, I bought a 65" Vizio(from Sam's), mounted it in a StormShell TV enclosure, so far, so good. No probs, no issues

You could go projector instead. Only thing that needs to remain outside is whatever you project onto.

We have three Samsung Terrace units spread around our patio area. They have been fantastic so far.

Samsung Terrace is like $3K. What a waste.
