Best home office printer recommendations

It’s been 10 years since buying our last one and have always used HP without issues. I know tech has changed a lot and wondering if there is something out there that y’all recommend?

I don't stay on top of printer developments, but my experience and opinion is that HP is always doing some frickery with aftermarket cartridges and I don't want to ever buy HP again. I've been most satisfied with Brother, and have been happy with the performance and print quality of color laser printers. Unless you're printing a lot of photos, you don't want ink. I print photos occasionally with color laser, and the quality is actually pretty good these days. I mean I wouldn't frame them, but for most purposes today's laser printers do well enough with photos.

I have one of the Epson tank printers.
If you use all the colors frequently, it’s pretty good. If you do not, when you go to use them, you may spend 30m or more running the unclog the nozzle feature before you finally get it printing right.
I would buy it again if you understand that caveat.

I initially hesitated on Brothers. Now I will always recommend them and doubt I will ever buy another brand, the only exception would be if I were primarily printing photographs. Cannon does photos better than any other printer I have ever owned and it isn't even close. All the others are adequate but if someone is primarily printing photos I assume they want better than adequate.

About 2 years ago we bought a Brother Color Laser with a scanner for our home office, it has been great. I would buy it again.

My Epson crashed not long ago. I ended up getting a Brother MFC.
