Best streaming service for elderly folks

I remember seeing this posted earlier but can’t find it anywhere (I’m not the elderly one, haha).
Basically my father-in-law already hated Spectrum but the dispute between ESPN fed the flame. He’s done. They are not the most technologically inclined people and the service that most resembles their cable box and remote would be best. Back in the day they even struggled with switching the input from cable to dvd.
I’m thinking running the streaming app through a smart tv would be best and using the tv remote. I think the small remotes that come with fire stick and Apple TV will drive them crazy.

My parents in their 70s use YouTubeTV and a FireTV Cube. They prefer the super simple Amazon Remote.

The fewer buttons the better for our aging family members.

Digital antenna, they just have to use channels they remember

Hulu live has a much better guide but is a PITA if they plan on using it when they travel. YTTV has a not so great guide that you can customize a bit using a computer, but it is really easy to travel with since it will automatically switch you location for you. Frndly TV is also stupid easy to navigate, but it only has old people channels and no locals.

quote:Not going to work. Need Fox News for the mother-in-law and ESPN for the father-in-law. If they had locals and those two that would really be all they need.
Digital antenna

My parents used a Roku and had YouTubeTV. I gave tech support on the phone. The one limiting factor I can think of is the voice remote won't control YouTubeTV. And it does take some getting used which is difficult. My parents resisted the change for years but acclimated.
