Recently discovered these after seeing one at a family member's Christmas Party. Functions as a TV and doubles as a nice picture frame if you choose to.

Anyone have experience with any of these? I am thinking of getting one for our living room and giving it a try. My 11 year old Vizio just blanked out on me today.

Samsung frame is the goat because it has that little thin 15' cable that is all that comes out of the TV and a console box you can hide anywhere with all the HDMI, USB, Ethernet, etc ports you can plug all your gear into.

I don't care how cool the hisense and tcl "frame" tvs are; they don't have this so I wouldn't even consider one of those. Samsung locked this market up.

This. That remotely located connection box ain't just a gimmick.

Wife got one of the Samsung Frames for a sitting area. Only negative is that it definitely lacks in processing power. Seems like we have to give it a reboot every now and again because it gets so sluggish when navigating apps and using it as a tv.

The idea is very cool, but presuming that it's effectively leaving a TV on all the time, what's the power usage of that? Does it at least turn itself off if the room is dark?

Expensive, but a deco tv frame around a Samsung Frame is a very nice look if this is what you’re thinking of.

Why would you leave it on all the time?

I have one, but really the only time it’s in picture mode is when we have people over and don’t want to be watching tv. My wife prefers the aesthetic of the frame and lack of cables.

That's kind of the whole point of a frame tv it goes into a special mode when it "paints" artwork on the screen and makes your room look better than a big black rectangle.

It looks so good it fools people who don't know it's a TV.

My son has one, its called the Frame. They are expensive and you might have to modify the wall behind them to make them fit just right and look like a picture, but his does look like a picture.

The upgraded Frame Pro has a Wireless One Connect Box. I am curious though about the power cord, I haven't seen that yet.

The second major improvement is that The Frame Pro no longer has a thin wire running between it and Samsung’s breakout box that houses all the HDMI inputs and the TV’s other brains: that connection has gone fully wireless.

Which is why I turn it on when people come over. I don’t need to try to fool myself when it’s just me and the wife home.

nope...don't like that.

Wireless sucks and now you have to install an outlet behind the TV to power it.

Huge step backwards imo. Give me the fishing line cable that handles power and inputs and allows me to plug in an Ethernet cable.
