Anyone ever heard of Conexon? They are laying fiber in our area and will start service by August. We currently have ATT DSL averaging 10 mbs. Signed up for 2gigs at $99 a month. Any thoughts on this? I can hardly wait as I can't imagine it not being a huge upgrade to DSL.

Welcome to having real broadband

it is a common ISP in MO. They typically work with rural power companies to run aerial fiber to rural homes. They are a bit pricey but I haven't heard any complaints about them.
I'd lower your speed because you wont be able to use 2Gbps. since you are coming from 10Mbps, you would be blown away by 100Mbps. But 500Mbps or 1Gbps would be fine too. 2Gbps is just a waste of money.

Yes. 300-500 mbps will be plenty, unless you want to download large PlayStation games in 10 mins.

Thanks for those who commented. I changed my service to 100mbs and installation is in September. ATT DSL is currently at 10mbs and it is ok so figured 100 should be plenty. No gaming, just tv and phones. Total cost down from $80 to $57.90.
