Easy/Cheap way to connect TV to external speakers

I know I need a home theater system yada yada yada here's the jist. Rented a place and it has built in speakers
1 TV
2 external speakers that are in the ceiling
3 GF that wants me to connect the TV to the speakers
Not looking for ultra hi-def dolby THX Bose quality....I just want some sound to come out of the speakers so that she'll shut up about them being there and we not using it.
So will any of these accomplish that "simple" task.
1. Auto Line Out 2 RCA Input High to Low Audio Impedance Converter
2. KickerKISLOC 2-Channel K-Series Speaker Cable to RCA Adapter with Line Out Converter
3. ELEGIANT 200W 12V Super Bass Mini Hi-Fi Stereo Amplifier Booster Radio MP3
I don't want 15 different controllers and would buy a soundbar that had "speaker out" if they have one but can't find any that do. (we have to use the ceiling speakers in her mind)

you posted nothing about the TV you have or what devices you're using. how are we supposed to know if any of this will work with it?

What most people have...a Standard flat screen(rca audio out/headphone audio jack) with internal speakers and a cable box.
Cable remote controls TV(power/volume/video input)

I have never seen a TV with RCA output. Are you sure this is not an input?

The last item is the only one with an amplifier to drive the speakers but you'll need a 120v to 12v converter to power it and an rca cable to connect to the tv (and speaker wire). You could look for stereo amplifiers that run on 120 directly. Depending on your available cash and space, you might want to just spend the cash for an av receiver and couple of bookshelf speakers for a significant bump in audio quality and it'll be able to run the surround sound speakers too. You could add a center channel and subwoofer later too for 5.1 surround. Using tv speakers will give your ears aids.
Look up zeos on Reddit, he has a bunch of suggestions and discussion of budget audio setups. He has links to a few small amps if you just want to power the ceiling speakers.
