They have the refurbished 4k Vizios for sale today and I'm contemplating pulling the trigger on the 60". I've never had an issue with anything I bought from Woot, but the 90 day warranty makes me nervous.

Anyone have any experience?

I bought a 55" and it arrived with a busted screen. Was a hassle to return, took a while for customer service to respond to me, but i eventually got my money back and bought a 60" vizio from walmart instead.

I would never buy a TV online and have it shipped small parcels. TVs get broke, if you are lucky it will be noticeable before you sign for it.

They left mine at my door without a signature.

Not a TV, but I bought a deep fryer off a Woot, and it came in damaged. They told me it was out of stock, so I could only return it for a refund. A few weeks later the same item was back again. I wasn't too happy with their return process.

If they have a warranty and you don't mind the possibility of having to wait for return then go for it..

Reading some of the comments about cracked screens and such steered me away.

I do order tv's online (All Vizio) with no issues ever.. but they were all from Amazon Prime. I'd even consider "open box warehouse deals" as long as it's backed by warranty.

Again though, I say go for WOOT if it's a tremendous deal and you are a patient person.

buying a big tv thru the mail is a BAD BAD BAD idea

we lugged around a big box screen at DHL, finally got it to customer, who promptly returned it...

never order anything larger than 32" thru the mail
what good is a good deal if it is busted up?!

50"-60" is too big for the mails/delivery svcs

stay local, pick it up yourself...

Glad I did not follow your advice for my last 3 Tvs. All arrived in two days undamaged, free shipping. Amazon has this mailing thing figured out, most importantly, the return side of mailing.

Eta: make that 4 Tvs, I set one to my parents house for Christmas.

How do you think the big box stores receive the Large TV'?

You will have no problem shipping a tv, if it's damaged. They will replace it

Freight trucks on a pallet. I sell TVs at the wholesale level and we have to eat broken panels all the time. Shipping them freight is far better than ground small parcel.

Three TV's purchased from Woot with biggest one being 48". All arrived undamaged, and still running for over 3 years now. And one has been outside the whole time.
