Is U-Verse equipment of any use?

I just got AT&T fiber installed and switched to Direct Stream TV. I have two U-Verse receivers that AT&T does not want back. Is there anything to use them for? Where can I recycle them? I'm in Baton Rouge.

I don’t know about old equipment but I really like the fiber internet and Direct TV Streaming.
I like I can put my cable in my phone, IPad, or computer. I also like how my two kids in college can watch our cable when they are away.

If they don't want them back, that tells you what you need to know. They deprecate equipment (to avoid troubleshooting costs I think) at a great rate, unless of course, it's the fiber bridge that sat in my old house for seven years without any upgrade.
I'd suggest you put them in a box, and a year after you switch, put them in the recycling bin.

What are they? Would they be able to run the Directv stream app? That might be one use for them.

Watch out they do want it back! They will send you an email in a week or so with a link! They told me that too. Luckily I kept the equipment. They only want certain parts back. Oh and you still have uverse internet. They will bill you separately for that!!!
