Looking for a new laptop and figured today would be the day to get one. I use for light business stuff and I know nothing about laptops whatsoever.
Any advice of which one of these is best would be greatly appreciated. I think they’re all priced similarly.
Option 1:
NIMO 15.6 FHD Laptop, Intel 6-Cores i3-1215U, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, (Beat i5-1135G7, Up to 4.4GHz), 65W Type-C, Fingerprint, Backlit Keyboard, IPS Business Laptop, Wi-Fi 6, Numpad, Win 11
Option 2:
NIMO 15.6 FHD IPS Business Laptop, 6 Cores 12th Intel i3-1215U(up to 3.4 GHz),32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 65W Type C, Backlit Keyboard, Fingerprint,2 Years Warranty, WiFi 6, Win 11
Option 3:
NIMO 15.6 FHD IPS Business Gaming Laptop, 6-Cores AMD Ryzen 5 6600H 660M 6 nm,32GB RAM DDR5, 1TB SSD, (Beat i5-12450H, up to 4.5GHz),100W Type-C, Fingerprint, Backlit Keyboard, WiFi 5, Win 11
Option 4
NIMO 17.3 FHD IPS Business Laptop, 6 cores 12th Intel i3-1215U(up to 3.4 GHz), 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 65W Type C, Backlit Keyboard, Fingerprint, 2 Years Warranty, WiFi 6, Win 11

Any modern laptop, even the cheap ones, are fine for “light business stuff”. You should pay more attention to the form factor. Is this going to just sit in your desk so you want a big screen or is this getting carried around everywhere so you need it to be thin and light?

I just want something fast I can use for quickbooks, excel spreadsheets, etc.
Something with a decent storage though, because I do have a bunch of family pics I want to save.

Laptops are awful for storing important things. Not only is laptop storage more expensive than for desktops, but you’re storing pictures on a device that can simply walk away. Save money on laptop storage and use an online storage service.

So if you had to pick a laptop today (a lot are on sale) in the $500 range, what would you pick?
Watching movies is a bonus
Fast turn on/off is important to me bc I’m impatient af.
How important is 32GB? WiFi 6 over WiFi 5 important?
What’s your recommendation?
I’m literally retarded on this subject so I appreciate the help.

My man, I’m not fricking with you or denigrating your tech knowledge. I’m asking you a simple, straightforward question: what’s more important to you, screen size or portability?
Anyone making suggestions without having that information is just throwing shite against the wall.

Using basically zero processing power, but a mark in favor of large screen.

Any system with an SSD for storage will be plenty fast. NVMe for bonus points. If you’re too impatient for that, use Sleep instead of Shut Down.

For your use case, not at all. 16GB is plenty.

Not important for your use case.

I prefer the 15 inch screen size.

I don't have time at the moment to do an extensive deep dive, but maybe something like this?
ASUS - Vivobook S 15 15" 3K OLED Laptop - Copilot+ PC - Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus - 16GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Neutral Black
LINK
I wouldn't always suggest a Snapdragon CPU, but based on your usage case, it's what I would suggest. I'm actually running a similar processor in my Surface Laptop 7 right now that I recently bought.
